We offer rare original French Adrian helmet, M 1915, used in WWI and WWII .
This is an original French Adrian helmet, M 1915, used in WWI and WWII - made in France, by Paris factory Japy Frères - Japy brothers. The stamp is seen on bottom of shell , under the liner. There is also letter "A" standing for the shell size.
After that helmet had an interesting story: it was made in France for Serbian royal army. In WWI Bulgaria fought on the south Serbian positions and captured a quantity of Serbian military equipment. These Adrian helmets made part of it and passed in Bulgarian army.
At the beginning of WWII in order to be used by the Air defence and Fire forces, they have been modified. They've been re-novated : the Serbian badge cockade was replaced by Bulgarian smaller one . The shadow of previous badge is clearly visible. Liner and chinstraps have been replaced with Bulgarian ones, royal model.
That's how this helmet received WWII Bulgarian liner, made in Military State Factory in the town of Kazanluk - ink stamp DVF is seen. The lining is well preserved.
